Inflatable Kayaking

Experience the thrill of kayaking in an inflatable kayak. Kayaking can be intimidating but inflatable kayaks can be enjoyed by anyone. These are very stable boats that are easy to get in and out, also known as an I.K. You won't feel the pressure of having to roll or being stuck upside down. Alpine Adventures offers IK trips on a few different rivers.

The Main Wenatchee trip meets at Riverside Park in Cashmere and we shuttle you up 10 miles to the put-in; this section has the most class 3 whitewater on the river. Mon-Fri our meet times can be flexible between 10am - 2pm. Sat-Sun 9:30 morning trip and a 2:00 afternoon trip.

The Upper Wenatchee section meets at Lake Wenatchee State Park and goes to the town of Plain. You will see Osprey soaring overhead and nesting in the tops of trees. This section runs 8 miles of playfull class I-II rapids with a remote wilderness feel it does not run along a highway. You will pass by a small castle along the way! Mon-Fri our meet times can be flexible between 10am - 2pm. Sat-Sun we meet at 11:00am

The Main Skykomish River is more advanced than the Wenatchee. Once the river goes below 4,000cfs we begin taking raft assisted inflatable kayak trips on the main Skykomish through class III-IV rapids including Boulder Drop. Mon-Fri our meet times can be flexible between 9am - 2pm. Sat-Sun 9:00am and 2:00pm.

The Lower Skykomish is a great introduction to inflatable kayaking. This trip is Class II+ and runs from Big Eddy State Park to Sultan. Mon-Fri our meet times can be flexible between 10am - 2pm. Sat-Sun 11:00am trip.

We also offer IK trips on the Upper Skagit and Yakima Rivers.

Groups 8+ call for custom meet times

All trips include neoprene booties, wetsuit, splash jacket, personal flotation device, shuttle, guide, and a picnic lunch. Click here for kayaking rates.

Family Kayaking Trips

Our family kayak trip begins at Lake Wenatchee and runs 8 miles of playfull class I-II rapids.

We also offer a family kayak float around the town of Leavenworth from Icicle road to Peshastin in July and August. This trip meets at the DOT lot next to Leavenworth Mountain Sports at 11:00am
