Our Green River Gorge whitewater rafting trip is a thrilling adventure through a narrow moss covered canyon. This "Jurassic Park" like 14-mile stretch of river is rated class 4 (advanced). Winding around overhanging rock cliffs with water falls pouring into the white water rapids you are immersed in a lost world. Included in this 14-mile section are the famous class 4 rapids named: Mercury, the Nozzle, Pipeline, Paradise, and the Ledge Drop 1 & 2, as well as another 25 class 3 (intermediate) rapids. The gorge can be described as twisting and boulder-choked, 150-300 feet deep, with 2 miles of Eocene sedimentary rocks and fossils. Don't miss this action packed and memorable rafting experience!

Minimum Age: 14 (with written release from parent)

Season:Due to the low snow-pack the only scheduled release day that is definite is Saturday May 1st meeting at Flaming Geyser State Park. All our trips on the Green depend on the releases of the Howard Hansen Dam. If you want to go on the Green reserve now for May 1st to gurantee your spot. Otherwise get signed up for our Green River hotlist.

Camping: Excellent camping is available at the put-in at Kanasket-Palmer State Park.

Directions to the Meeting Point: From the Seattle area, take I-5 South to I-405 North to Renton. From Renton take Highway 169 (Maple Valley Highway) south through the towns of Maple Valley and Black Diamond. Just south of Black Diamond turn west onto Southeast Green Valley Road, following the signs to the Flaming Geyser State Park. Drive about a mile and a half into the park to the picnic area and park your vehicle. This is the take-out privileges. From here we will shuttle to the put-in at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park. Driving time from Seattle is 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
